About the IS200VPROH1BCB
The IS200VPROH1BCB is a board component from GE that is designed to fit into the Speedtronic Mark VI system.
The IS200VPROH1BCB has an extra-wide front faceplate. This faceplate is hinged along one edge. The faceplate includes multiple screw points as well as clips that help retain the board within the rack system. The left side of the front faceplate is populated with several components including LED indicators in several groups. These are labeled X/Y/Z, 8/4/2/1, CD, TX, RX, power fault, and power normal. The faceplate also has a power plug, an ethernet and IONet connector, and several other D-shell connectors.
The IS200VPROH1BCB is primarily used as protection for the turbine via emergency overspeed. The board also offers backup synch check protection and three analog current inputs. There are nine thermocouple inputs that are typically only used for over-temp protection on gas turbine systems.
Since protection modules are always triple redundant, any single board can be powered down and replaced without putting the protection system in jeopardy. The IS200VPROH1BCB has a VME interface that will allow programming and testing within the VME rack, but this is neutralized once plugged into the protection module.
The IS200VPROH1BCB includes its own power supply located on-board, which generates 5VDC and 28VDC from the 125VDC from the PDM.
