About the IS200VTURG1B
The IS200VTURG1B is a board component for the Mark VI system. This system is a management platform for overseeing gas or steam turbines, or for managing balance of plant operations. It is built with a Central Control Module that is responsible for most of the system’s control, protection, and monitoring. This module is connected to an operator interface built from a PC workstation running on a Windows OS.
The IS200VTURG1B is a VME turbine board. The VTUR board has several versions; please be sure you order the correct version necessary for your system. The IS200VTURG1B integrates unique interfaces within the turbine control system on one card. The board is designed to monitor four-speed inputs from passive magnetic sensors.
The IS200VTURG1B has an attached front faceplate with several components mounted into its surface. Components that can be accessed from the front include a cable connector. The board surface has several other connectors, including two backplane connectors. Other components include vertical connectors for an optional auxiliary board, integrated circuits, inductor coils, transistors, capacitors, and resistors.
The IS200VTURG1B functions as part of the synchronizing system within the Mark VI. Two single-phase PT inputs located on the TTUR termination board monitor the generator and line busses through the VTUR card. The VTUR/TTUR can also continuously monitor the shaft-to-ground voltage and current and alarm at excessive levels. The VTUR board is also capable of receiving a trip command from the main processor card (acting as a trip system) for turbines not fitted with a mechanical overspeed bolt. More information on card functions can be found through user guides and manuals. Please follow all safety guidelines as recommended by the original equipment manufacturer.
