About the IS2020LVPSG3A
The IS2020LVPSG3A is a VME Rack Power Supply for the Mark VI system. The Mark VI is one of the last of the Speedtronic systems for gas/steam turbine management released by General Electric. It features triple redundant backups on all critical controls and protection parameters
The IS2020LVPSG3A mounts to the right side of the VME control racks and interface. This power supply has two connectors located on its top edge, labeled PSA and PSB, that are designed to mate with a cable harness to carry power to the VME rack. This is a 300 W 24 VDC power supply with three +28V PSA outputs, and a 300W output rating. It also has a Status ID output. The power supply is able to support redundant operations.
The IS2020LVPSG3A is a completely self-contained module. It has a faceplate that screws closed in several locations and can be opened at several panels. The label “Power Supply” is marked at the top of the faceplate. Below this is a waffled opening to allow air movement. The middle section of the faceplate is populated by three LED indicators (green, red, and yellow,) and a toggle switch. The left side of the unit is designed to act as a large heat sink component and is composed of a number of exposed metal fins. The bottom panel of the unit has four input jacks. These are labeled PSSAT, PS28, PS335, and PS125 or PS24.
It is important to note the VME rack power supply has seven major variations available, with each variation having different output and input requirements. The IS2020LVPSG3 is one of the newer designs of the power supply.
