About the IS205SVMAG1ABB
The Voltage Monitoring Board IS205SVMAG1ABB is a small auxiliary card that must be soldered to a central component board. This unit must be mounted in a rack that has between thirteen and twenty-one VME slots. SVMA is the functional acronym that stands for small voltage monitoring auxiliary board. During operation, this board can be used with triple modular redundancy which is the primary source of the Mark VI Series Control Module which this board was designed to be used. The actual sensor interface for which this board can be used is triple, dual, single redundant, or even a combination of all three depending on the customer's preference.
On the bottom of the IS205SVMAG1ABB, there are ten solder points, these solder points are used to attach the SVMA module to another model within the Mark VI System. A few components make up this model due to its small size. The components are a single resistor network array, a single transistor, and a single integrated circuit. All of these components are next to each other near the solder points on the bottom of the model. There are also resistors located all around the board, in total there are twelve resistors.
If the SVMA model is being used with a main control module a backup protection module can also be used. The backup protection module can be used with the IS205SVMAG1ABB module to provide overspeed protection as well as backup synch protection. The backup synch protection will be used when the model is used with generator drives. When the backup protection module is used the main IONet provided with the SVMA and control module will be extended to the backup protection.
