About the IS210BPPBH2CAA
Used in the Mark VI Turbine Control System the IS210BPPBH2CAA model was designed as a printed circuit board. One key feature of the BPPB board being used in the Mark VI system is that it can be used with two types of turbine prime movers which are steam or gas turbines. The main components of this module are the eight female plug connectors, the connectors range from two to eighteen-pin connectors. On the left side of the board lined up in a row, there are six metal oxide varistors.
When the model is mounted in the turbine control system it will be in the main Control Module, it does have the potential to be used with a Backup Protection Module as well. When in the main control module there are a number of software maintenance tools. The maintenance tools vary from protection algorithms to sequencing and I/O displays.
There is an operator interface that can be used with the IS210BPPBH2CAA model, the interface is referred to as an HMI or Human Machine Interface. This interface is designed as a Microsoft Windows NT PC operating system, it can support a graphics display system, client/server capability, a software interface, and a Control System Toolbox used for maintenance.
When the IS210BPPBH2CAA model is being used in a TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) system there are three processor cards. The processor cards are used to execute turbine application software between the BPPB board and other boards that have been mounted in the VME rack.
