About the IS215UCVDH2AM
The IS215UCVDH2AM is a PCB component manufactured by General Electric as a part of the Mark VI system. The Mark VI is a Speedtronic management platform designed by GE for both steam and gas turbines, as well as balance of plant operations. The MKVI uses general purpose and application specific I/Os. Some of these input/outputs do thinks like monitor shaft voltage for build-up across oil film, monitor speed pulse rates, or manage a trip command input for turbine systems that don’t have a mechanical overspeed bolt.
The IS215UCVDH2AM is a double-slot controller board. There are five versions of the controller board, some which are single-board and some double. The UCVD is an older version. The controller board uses a QNX operating system. This is a real-time multitasking OS. The board has a 300 MHz AMD-K6 processor with 8 MB flash memory and 16 MB of DRAM. The board uses a 10BaseT RJ-45 connector for Ethernet connection. This is located in the front panel of the board. Other connectors located in the front panel includes two COM ports for RS-232 communications, a monitor port, two ISBus LAN ports, and a Genius cable plug. The front panel also has ports for a printer, keyboard, and mouse, as well as a hard disk connector. There are two sets of status LEDs located near the top of the panel.
The IS215UCVDH2AM has two circuit boards connected to each other by stand-offs and screw connections. These are populated by capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits, and diodes. There is a backplane connector located on one board.
