The IS215UCVEH2AAF functions as a Mark VI controller board.  Like most MKVI controllers, this is a single-slot VME board that is built with a high-speed processor on board.  It also includes DRAM, a cache, flash memory, two serial RS-232C ports, along with an Ethernet port.  If you need two Ethernet ports consider ordering an “M” version of this board.   The board is designed to live in the second slot of a Mark VI I/O rack where there is no J3 or J4 connectors.   Base software on this board will support land and marine aero-derivative products as well as more typical steam and gas systems. 

The rear edge of the IS215UCVEH2AAF includes two backplane connectors to plug into the rack system.  The board is populated with a number of different components you would expect to see on such a board, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, and connectors.  The board also has a large protective shield placed over one side that may also perform as a heat sink.
