Product Description

The IS215UCVEM02A is one of several controller boards for the Mark VI system available within the AX Control inventory.  Please be sure you order the correct board for your particular application.  We recommend buying an exact repeat of the board you are replacing to ensure compatibility. 

The IS215UCVEM01A board is designed with four Ethernet ports.  Ethernet allows the transfer of information between controller components in networked situations.  In triple modular redundant applications, Ethernet-capable controllers can forward data to other controllers via IONet at a max of 1400 bytes.   Each of the controllers in TMR configurations will receive UDH EGD data in an independent manner from direct Ethernet connections. 

The IS215UCVEM02A board includes lithium batteries on its surface, as well as capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits, and inductors.   The board has several transistors, and also has multiple plugs and connectors, including two backplane connectors.  A heat-sink shield covers a third of the board’s surface.  

The module includes an attached front faceplate.  This faceplate will help keep the module firmly in the rack once it has been installed through the use of two set screws, located at the top and the bottom.  The set screws lock the module in place after installation, and also offer workers a way to easily pull the module from its rack location for maintenance or replacement.   This faceplate is populated with a number of individual ports to allow for connections to the board.  Please refer to original documentation like GE manuals and user guides for additional details on these ports as well as for handling and installation guidelines.
