About the IS215UCVGH1A
The IS215UCVGH1A is a board component with a faceplate created by GE for the Mark VI system. The MKVI is a steam and gas turbine management system released by General Electric as part of the Speedtronic line. The Speedtronic line began in 1969 and continued until the release of the Mark VI/Mark VIe in the 1990s.
Five versions of the UCV controller exist for the MKVI. The IS215UCVGH1A is a single-slot version of the controller. Any previous controller can be directly replaced by the IS215UCVGH1A. The board will not require a backplane upgrade if it replaces an earlier version controller. The IS215UCVGH1A installs into the VME rack.
The IS215UCVGH1A is built with an Ultra Low-Voltage Celeron 650 processor chip from Intel. The chip has 128MB of SDRAM and 128 MB of flash memory. The board has a front faceplate. The faceplate has a reset switch followed by an SVGA monitor port. There are a keyboard/mouse port and two COM ports (side by side, labeled 1 and 2.) The board has two Ethernet ports stacked on top of each other. These are labeled LAN1 and LAN2. There are two individual USB connectors, four LED indicators, and a faceplate opening.
The IS215UCVGH1A board is populated by several auxiliary boards. There are standoffs located in some places to accept auxiliaries if they are added. The board has a single backplane. There are capacitors, inductor coils, crystal oscillators, oscillating chips, jumper switches, and integrated circuits on the board surface.
