About the IS215VAMBH1A
The IS215VAMBH1A is a GE Mark VI PCB component. The Mark VI system is one of the last of the Speedtronic systems for gas/steam turbine management and includes TMR (triple modular redundant) architecture that includes three individual Control Modules, IONets and power supplies.
The IS215VAMBH1A is an Acoustic Monitoring board. It provides eighteen channels of signal conditioning through two TAMB boards and eighteen channels of acoustic monitoring through its sub-assembly. Acoustic monitoring for frame 6, 7, or 9 size gas turbines is supported by this board plus one or two TAMB terminal boards. The IS215VAMBH1A has a high impedance dc bias, which allows it to detect an open connection between a TAMB board and a charge amplifier. The dc bias control allows for options like RETx, SIGx and return line, or 28 V bias or ground applied to the signal line. Each channel provides a buffered BNC output, which is the input signal minus the dc bias.
The IS215VAMBH1A is built with a front faceplate that contains two d-type cable connectors and three LED indicators for board status. The rear of the board has two backplane connectors that are located side-by-side. The board also includes vertical pin connectors. The board has many integrated circuits. These include Xilinx field programmable gate arrays. The board has various resistors, capacitors, and diodes. There are two inductor coils located between the backplane connectors. There are nine 3-pin jumpers located on the board. One side is tied to the return signal (RETx) and the center pin is tied to PCOM.
