About the IS220PDIAH1A
This IS220PDIAH1A Discrete Input Pack printed circuit board modular assembly pack offering from General Electric was originally designed and manufactured specifically with insertion in the Mark VI Turbine Control System Series' automated drive assembly in mind, as should have been indicated in the brief product description paragraph above. This IS220PDIAH1A Discrete Input Pack device's greater Mark VI Series is something of a significant upgrade upon the previous industry-standard Mark V Turbine Control System Series of a similar full extended series name, given the fact that the Mark VI Series added the alternative energy-focused wind turbine functional possible environment onto the gas and steam turbine-based settings made available to earlier Mark V Series products. In general, this IS220PDIAH1A Discrete Input Pack printed circuit board modular assembly's Mark VI Series is also held in high esteem on its greater promotional industrial marketplace given its status as one of the final-released GE Mark product series to make use of the patented Speedtronic control system technology.
Hardware Tips and Specifications
Labeled as a Discrete I/O Pack the IS220PDIAH1A model is used in the Mark VI Series alongside the YDIA Discrete Input Module as well. This IS220PDIAH1A Discrete Input Pack device is actually not considered the originally-developed device of its specific General Electric Mark VI Series functional product role, as that would have to be deemed the IS220PDIAH1 parent Discrete Input Pack not making use of this IS220PDIAH1A Discrete Input Pack device's sole A-rated functional product revision. Several different associated terminal boards, all of which should be made available in some new, reconditioned or revised condition to our AX Control website, can be used with the PDIA model, including the following:
- IS200TBCIH4C
- IS200STCIH1A
- IS200STCIH8A
- IS200TBCIH2C
- IS200TCIH2A
These models all work together with the PDIA to be approved for usage in hazardous locations. When being used in hazardous environments there are specific certifications needed. Certification ULE207685 is used for non-hazardous, Class I Zone 2 Group IIC, and Class I Division 2 Groups, A, B, C, and D locations. There is a specific certification required when being used in ATEX Zone 2 Group IIC locations, the certification is UL DEMKO 12 ATEX 1114875X. Compared to other models in the Mark VI Series the IS220PDIAH1A does not necessarily have a specific faceplate as it is an I/O pack. On the front of the device, there are seven indicators, on the right side of the pack in a group of three there are indicators for the power and two for the link, one is indicated as ENet1, and the other ENet2. Underneath these three indicators, there is an Ethernet port which is used for cabling the model to the Ethernet to allow for easy Ethernet communication. The IS220PDIAH1A pack has location standards two of which are UL 600790 Ed. 5 and UL 60079-15 Ed. 3 for use in Class I Zone 2 Group IIC. This information can be found in the GEH-6725 Mark VI Controls Equipment Hazloc Manual which is located above under the manuals tab.
