About the IS230TBTCH1B
The IS230TBTCH1B is a small board component manufactured by GE for the Mark VI. The MKVI, which is a gas and steam turbine management system, was one of the last released by GE under the “Speedtronic” name. The Mark VI is a complete integrated management system where the hardware and software were designed together and works in conjunction to maintain the turbine at its optimum level. The Mark VI is offered in both TMR (triple modular redundant) and Simplex forms.
The IS230TBTCH1B is a Thermocouple Input terminal board. The board can accept thermocouple inputs of the E, J, K, or T types. This card works with the VTCC processor and is designed with two barrier type terminal strips placed on its front edge. These are marked TB1 and TB2. Each terminal block has twenty-four thermocouple inputs.
During installation, the thermocouple wires directly to the I/O terminal blocks of the IS230TBTCH1B. The J-type connectors on the board (JRA/JRB, JSA/JSB, JTA/JTB) are to be cabled to the Input/Output processors located in the VME rack.
The IS230TBTCH1B screw mounts to a shield bar at three locations. This frame encircles the PCB on all four sides and extends from the front edge. Thermocouple inputs can be grounded or ungrounded. If terminal blocks need maintenance, they can be unplugged from the surface of the board.
More information about the operation, installation, diagnostics, and specifications of the IS230TBTCH1B can be accessed in the Mark VI Control System Guide. If this publication is not available to you, please speak to our team when you place your order.
