Product Description

The 6KGP43002X9XXXA1 is one of several AF-650 general purpose drives from General Electric maintained within AX Control’s warehouse stock.  These drives are ideal for controlling mixers or for other material handling applications where there may be demanding constant torque requirements.   The drives are designed to be equally useful for either heavy-duty or light-duty applications. 

The 6KGP43005X9XXXA1 is a 400V, 3-phase 50/60 Hz input unit.   It is built within an IP20 enclosure but does not have a braking chopper.  If you need this same unit with a braking chopper, please refer to unit 6KGP4301X9XBxA1.  The 6KGP43005X9XXXA1 unit is also identified by GE reference number 400451.  

The 6KGP43005X9XXXA1 offers both speed and torque control.   Speed control can occur through open-loop control without feedback from the motor (sensorless), or through closed-loop PID control using speed feedback.  Torque control functions are used when tension control is important.  Torque control can be either closed-loop or open loop. 

AF-650 GP drives also offer built-in DC link reactors, auto-tuning, and a built-in logic controller.  The until has several self-protecting features including flying start feature to catch a spinning motor, electronic thermal overload, and current overload protection to 150 of rated current for up to one minute.  Optional kits allow for network communications through Ethernet, Modbus, Devicenet, and Profibus/Profinet.
