Product Description

The 6KGP43010X9XXXA1 General Purpose drive is a 7.5kW/10HP 3-phase adjustable drive from GE’s AF-650 series.  This series is designed to control machinery like mixers and material handling equipment.   Drives in this series also offer sensorless and closed-loop vector modes when needed for demanding torque situations.    The units in this series have a compact design to minimize their cost and space requirements.    This particular unit also has a Dynamic Brake chopper, a motor space heater, and a matrix harmonic filter.  

The 6KGP43010X9XXXA1 includes a front faceplate with Navigation keys, operation keys, and menu keys.   The unit also has an LCD display with contrast that can adjust using the Status button along with the up and down arrows.   The display menu keys allow users to toggle through modes during normal operation.  It also allows access to fault log data.   The unit will keep track of the last ten alarms plus the maintenance log.  Additionally, navigation keys allow for programming and local speed control.    This area of the faceplate also includes three frequency converter indicator lights, including an alarm LED. 

The 6KGP43010X9XXXA1 comes with a number of warnings and cautions, including an unintended start warning.  It is important that users understand once the frequency converter is connected to AC mains power or to a DC power supply, the motor can start at any time, including after a cleared fault condition.   Be sure to disconnect the frequency converter from their power supply before beginning any maintenance or installation procedures.   General Electric manuals will provide additional information.
