The 6KGP43020X9RBCA1 is a general-purpose AF-650 series drive from General Electric.  This drive offers both closed-loop vector and sensorless modes for managing constant-torque applications.  The unit is ideally suited for material handling applications. 

The 6KGP43020X9RBCA1 uses a 460 volt, 3-phase input rated at 50/60 Hz.  The unit includes a keypad that can be mounted with the unit or at a remote location.  This unit includes a factory-installed brake chopper, a conformal coating, and an A1/B RFI filter.   The heavy-duty horsepower rating sits at 20 HP.  Light-duty goes to 25 HP.  

The 6KGP43020X9RBCA1 is designed to rectify AC voltage from mains into DC voltage.  This is then converted into an AC current that has a variable frequency and amplitude.  The converted AC curtain allows for variable speed control of attached synchronous motors or 3-phase standard AC motors.   Speed control occurs with no feedback through sensorless, open-loop control, or with feedback control via closed-loop PID control. 

The 6KGP43020X9RBCA1’s frequency converter offers both local control via the keypad and remote control through the serial bus and other analog and digital inputs.  Additionally, the reset key allows alarm reset to occur locally.
