About the 3VTPS566CD001
The 3VTPS566CD001 is a part of General Electric’s DC300 drives. These drives are used to move draw bridges (moveable bridges). General Electric’s state of the art design provides ease of application, increased productivity, improved maintainability, increased flexibility, and increased reliability.
The digital drive allows the movable bridge operator to program the drive with installation tailored speeds and torque characteristics, with higher reliability of the control systems. The digital drives have up to sixty percent fewer components from their analog counterparts. Simply put, fewer parts equal fewer things that can fail or burnout. This is accomplished by lowering the number of wire connections using ribbon cables and only the necessary single wire connections. The digital design doesn’t require hardware changes. The worker only needs to have the software to be reprogrammed.
The drive uses an integral advanced diagnostic system that comes standard with all the DC300 drives, which reduces cost and maintenance times. If a fault occurs the drive will immediately shut down and will display one of eighty-four different fault/status messages with a “First Fault Indication” that will eliminate hours of troubleshooting. The drives feature a keypad programmer with a ten character that alphanumeric read-outs are multifunctional and allow in diagnostic modes that read the status of the drive with armature volts, current, torque, horsepower, and many other parameters that correspond with the chosen application.
