The 6KE$34DBR015 is a Dynamic Braking resistor from GE/Fuji.  The GE part number corresponds to Fuji part number DB11-4.   This is an external braking resistor.  The 6KE$34DBR015 is an optional part that assists/replaces the internal DB.   Cables may need to be removed and insulated from the internal DB when adding this component. 

The 6KE$34DBR015 is designed with 40Ω resistance and a continuous braking torque discharging capability of 55 kW.   The braking time is 10 seconds.  With intermittent braking over 100 seconds or less, the unit sees an allowable average loss of 0.275kW and has a duty cycle rating of 5%.  

External braking resistors may overheat, causing inverters to stop discharging and running.  This is part of the overheat protection function of most GE/Fuji drives.  If this happens, the function data associated with the resistor will need to be reset.
