About the IC210EAR208
The IC210EAR208 unit is an eight-point discrete expansion unit. The IC210EAR208 expansion unit was developed and manufactured by General Electric’s branch named GE Fanuc Automation and is included in the Durus series of controllers. This expansion unit is very similar to the IC210EDR008 expansion unit. The main difference is the input power voltage and input device voltage are rated in VDC, whereas the IC210EAR208’s voltage ratings are in VAC. Follow the link above to find the IC210EDR008 module on AX Control’s website, should that be the one you need.
The Durus series of controllers has the capability to support one analog expansion unit and three discrete expansion units at a time. All of the discrete expansion units have four discrete input ports as well as four discrete output ports.
The IC210EAR208 expansion unit has eight total ports: four discrete input ports and four discrete output ports. The input power voltage of the IC210EAR208 expansion unit is 24 VAC, and the input device voltage is also rated at 24 VAC. The IC210EAR208 expansion unit’s power supply power consumption rating is at a total of 90 milliamps.
The top of the IC210EAR208 expansion unit is where you will find the four discrete input ports that are labeled as X1, X2, X3, and X4. The four discrete output ports are located at the very bottom of the device, with the labels Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4.
The IC210EAR208 expansion unit’s dimensions are the same as every other discrete expansion units that are available to the Durus Controllers: 38 mm x 90 mm x 58 mm.
