Developed and manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation as part of the Durus Controllers series, the IC210EDR008 module is an 8 point discrete expansion unit.
The power consumption of the IC210EDR008 unit is 90 milliamps. The IC210EDR008 unit has four 24 VDC inputs and four isolated relay outputs that are rated at 9 amps each. All of the inputs and outputs are discrete. There are only three discrete modules that are supported on the total expansion. There are expansion modules that extend the functionality of the drive controller; however, without the expansion module, the drive controllers will be able to function on its own. If the expansion module is installed, then the module is capable of some additional procedures. The IC210EDR008 unit’s lifecycle status is classified as “Mature.”
The IC210EDR008 unit is a large device that has a rectangular shape. The top of the IC210EDR008 unit has the four DC input that are labeled as follows from left to right: X1, X2, X3, and X4. The next level has two DC 24V terminals, one positive terminal and one negative terminal. The very middle of the device has a large LED indicator light that is labeled as “LINK.” The four relay/BA output ports are located at the bottom of the device, and those are labeled as follows: Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4.
The IC210EDR008 unit has no compatibility issues with the old or the new Durus Plus, meaning that it can be used freely with any of the products in the Durus Controllers series.
