About the IC300OCS997
The IC300OCS997 is a SmartStack OCS Demonstration Case made by GE Fanuc.
The IC300OCS997 is meant to be a training and demonstration tool for the SmartStack operator control station (OCS) setup. This starter kit originally came with everything including software and cables that can be used to demonstrate all of the functions the main OCS can perform. This kit came with a carrying case, IC300OCS100, IC300DIQ611, IC300OSW232, a power cord, an RS-232 9-pin programming cable, a simulator with 8 switch inputs and 8 output lights, a DC power supply, and a startup guide. The kit does not need any type of installation or assembly to function.
There are three different models of the OCS demonstration case that each have their own features and functions. The IC300OCS997 is different from the IC300OCS995 because it has different wiring and I/O modules. The IC300OCS997 is a smaller version of this type of case. This kit does have the ability to be later integrated into an actual system. The OCS unit, in this case, comes preloaded with a demonstration ladder program loaded into its memory.
In order to set up the IC300OCS997, simply connect the power cord to the power supply and plug it into a 100-250 VAC @ 50/60 Hz power source. Then you just connect the power supply cable to a power plug in the panel. The OCS may give a warning that the network is disabled: this warning is normal because the system isn’t actually connected to a network.
This kit is no longer being supported by GE and may be a little hard to find. Your kit will ship with available accessories, depending on whether you order a new surplus or refurbished kit.
