About the IC620ACC001
The IC620ACC001 module was developed by GE Fanuc to be an EPROM Programmer unit. This device was designed to be included inside of the Micro PLC series that was designed by GE Fanuc. The IC620ACC001 EPROM Programmer can typically be found within AX Control’s inventory, so be sure to check on its availability on our website or by contacting us during our business hours on weekdays.
The IC620ACC001 EPROM Programmer is a small device with a rectangular shape. The very top of the device has a communications port. The front of the IC620ACC001 EPROM Programmer has a rectangular backlit LCD display with two LEDs, one labeled ROM and one labeled ERROR, below it. Below these LEDs, you will find the EPROM socket sticking out of the front and a large keypad with many buttons. The right side of the IC620ACC001 EPROM Programmer has a DC 6V adapter jack.
If you would like to use one of the applications that are stored on EPROM, then it must be programmed and installed onto the Micro PLC, which is a relatively simple process. First, be sure that the power to the device, if applied, is turned off. Then, open the door on the right side of the CPU. Gently open the RAM memory chip, using an EPROM extraction tool. If you do not have this extraction tool, a small screwdriver can be used with extra caution. Then, insert the EPROM into the socket and position the notch in the same position as the RAM chip. Be sure that it is installed the right way and not backwards. You may then close the CPU’s door.
