About the IC620CBL004
The IC620CBL004 is a GE Fanuc Expander Ribbon Cable used with a GE Fanuc Micro PLC. This series of parts has been discontinued by GE Fanuc and may be difficult to find. AX Control does try to keep the IC620CBL004 stocked as a new surplus stock part.
The IC620CBL004 is a 1 meter Expander Unit I/O ribbon cable. This cable is typically used to connect a Micro PLC expander unit to a CPU unit. This is an optional cable that can replace the 250 mm cable that normally comes standard with the expander unit. There is also a 0.5 meter cable that can be purchased instead. Using the IC620CBL004 instead of the cable that normally comes with the expander means that when the expander and the CPU are attached to their mounting surfaces, they do not have to be directly next to each other.
Once the CPU and expander are mounted, the IC620CBL004 can be connected to the units. There is a small protective cover on the top right side of the CPU and on the top left side of the expander unit. To remove the cover, a screwdriver may need to be used to pry it up. Once the cover is removed, the 20-pin female connectors can then be inserted into the units.
