About the IC620MSC002
The IC620MSC002 is GE Fanuc Starter Kit #2 for a Micro PLC System. The IC620MSC002 is the smaller of the two starter kits and only comes with the CBL001 programming cable, the IC641SWP020 programming software 3” disk, and a CPU unit.
The CPU unit provided in this kit is either a 14, 16, or 28 I/O point unit and has options for either AC or DC power. Using the programming cable, this unit can be connected directly to a PC for programming or into a hand-held unit that is sold separately from this kit. It has the ability to run application programs. The CPU is made up of several different components. There are input and output terminals that have a removable cover. There is a ribbon cable jack to an expander unit. There is a small door on the right side for access to the memory unit. There is an RS-232 port that connects to the hand-held programmer (HHP) or a computer. There is a door on the left side for future options. There are power terminals with a removable protective cover. There is a Run/Stop switch that is labeled RUN and PGM. There are OK/RUN/PWR LED indicators.
The Micro PLC system should be run in temperatures ranging from 0 to +55 degrees Celsius with a 20-95% non-condensing humidity. It should be mounted into a control panel that is ventilated. It should be kept away from corrosive or combustible gas. The atmosphere should not be salty, and it should not be mounted in direct sunlight. This unit should only be mounted horizontally and never vertically.
