Product Description

The QPI-3D200-S2P is one of the many 10.5 inch models in the General Electric QuickPanel lineup of human/machine interface modules. These touchscreen HMIs are a part of the QuickPanel family and still available through aftermarket sellers such as AX Control Inc. 

The QPI-3D200-S2P is measured diagonally with a 10.5 inch viewing area, and outfitted with a super twisted, nematic LCD display. This view is four times as large as the viewing area of the 5 inch and 6 inch models. The image is also displayed in full color (8 colors, both solid and flashing). The image resolution of the model is 640 x 480 pixels.

Physically, this model is built with the dimensions that several of the 10.5 inch models are designed with. The width of the QPI-3D200-S2P unit has is measured at 12.48 inches, while the height reaches up to 9.57 inches. The standard depth of this unit is 3.35 inches. In millimeters, the dimensions are 317 mm x 243 mm x 85 mm. The official viewing area of this touch screen panel is measured at 11.89 in x 8.98 in, or 302 mm x 228 mm. The QPI-3D200-S2P has an extremely low rate of defect and will often function as intended within an application for years. When failure does occur, troubleshooting often shows that the STN Color LCD or attached backlight has failed. Replacing this LCD is usually inexpensive and quick, reducing downtime and costs. The biggest issue we generally run into with customers who buy the QPI-3D200-S2P is that if the whole HMI fails they will lose their program. It is important to keep an external copy of the program so it can be downloaded via QuickDesigner to a replacement if necessary. - AX Control Lead Technician
