The QuickPanel series is able to connect to all of the major programmable logic controllers. These networks include the Profibus network, A-B Data Highway Plus, Modbus Plus, Genius I/O, DeviceNet, and Interbus-S. This product is the additional, optional QuickPanel Module that connects the QuickPanel touch screen panels to the A-B Remote I/O system network.

The QuickPanel series of touch screen units, and the additional adapter modules, were produced by the industrial automation subdivision of General Electric. These units are now regarded as outdated hardware and inventory, and are no longer in production from GE.

The QuickPanel models that the QPI-ABR-201 module is able to connect to are the the 10.5 inch QPI models, and the largest, 12.1 inch QPL models. These models have a wide array of specifications regarding the power source and lighting displays.

The 10.5 inch models have the standard dimensions that touch screens this size have: a height of 12.48 inches (317 millimeters), a width of 9.57 inches (243 millimeters), and a depth of 3.05 inches (77.47 millimeters). The 10.5 inch models weigh 7 pounds, or 3.175 kilograms.

The 12.1 inch models are 10.7 inches tall, and 13.62 inches wide, and go as far deep as 4.45 inches. In millimeters, the dimensions are 271.78 mm x 346 mm x 113 mm. Their weight is 8.4 pounds, or 3.81 kilograms.
