QPJ-2D101-L2P
This QuickPanel Junior module is one of the several models originally produced by General Electric (GE), from the industrial automation product division. The QPJ-2D101-L2P model is a 5 inch touch screen module, outfitted with a monochromatic LCD display.
The QPJ-2D101-L2P is a cost effective, improved replacement for modules that come integrated with physical push buttons and status/action indicator LED lights. This unit, just like the rest of the GE QuickPanel series, is able to communicate with every major model of programmable logic controller (PLC) and communication network systems, such as A/B Remote Input/Output, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, Profibus, and Modicon ModBus Plus. Some of these connections do require additional, optional modules in order to successfully integrate into each other.
The QPJ-2D101-L2P module is one of their miniature units, with an overall dimension area of 117.43 inches. The standard dimensions of these QuickPanel Junior units apply, with a width of 6.75 inches (172 millimeters), a 5 inch (127 mm) height, and it reaches a depth of 2.125 inches (54 mm). The 5 inch viewing area displays an image resolution of 320 (width) by 240 (height) square pixels. This miniature model’s frame weights less than 0.8 kilograms, or a little under 1.7 pounds.
The smaller frame means that the unit’s application memory, rather than in megabytes, reaches up to only 256 kilobytes. Much like the other models in the QuickPanel series, the memory is formatted into Flash EPROM (erasable, programmable, read only memory). The standard power intake of these units still applies, with up to 24 volts of direct current. However, it consumes only 12 watts of energy while in use.
