This device is a part of the optional components that are able to connect to the QuickPanel series of touch screens. These touch screen modules are all able to communicate with the major models of programmable logic controllers, and their system networks they’re connected to. These networks include ones like Profibus, Modbus Plus, and DeviceNet. This module is the QPJ-ABR-201, and is the additional component that’s needed for the QuickPanel devices to connect with the A-B Remote I/O system.

The QuickPanel series of products that this unit is a part of is a large range of human/machine interface models. They were originally developed and produced by the industrial automation branch of General Electric. These pieces of hardware are now classified as obsolete. While they are no longer in production, the technical staff at AX Control have fully refurbished all QuickPanel models for a new lease on the intended use.

These touch screen units are as small as 5 inches in terms of viewing panel size, and as large as 12.1 inches. In between this range, there are also 6 inch, 7.4 inch, 9 inch, and 10.5 inch models. The weight of these products is as light as 1.5 pounds (or 0.68 kilograms) and as heavy as 8.4 pounds (3.81 kilograms).

These QuickPanel units are all built with an advanced series of light systems, and are outfitted with an LCD display, an STN display, or is set up with an amber electroluminescent setup.
