About the IC800BIK020
The IC800BIK020 is a 20 Amp βi Series Servo Amplifier Kit manufactured by GE Fanuc. The components of this package can be ordered individually when the user must change a single part. This kit is also ideal when a new installation is needed or when replacing one part of the kit while keeping rest of the parts as spares.
IC800BIK020 amplifiers are panel mounted devices that are 150mm (5.91 in) in length and 75mm (2.95 in) in width; so, for proper convection cooling, specified clearances between and below adjacent amplifiers when installing must be maintained. Be sure to securely connect the ground terminal and metal frame of the amplifier and a motor to a common ground plate and mount a ground fault interrupter as a safety measure against fire and electric shock. It is running on 24VDC power with separate cable needed to connect to all motors, except β2is, β4is, β2HVis and β4HVis models. There is an available option for a motor holding brake for system designs with a vertical axis that must keep its position in case of power loss.
βis Series Servo motors have a built-in serial encoder. It can be used in incremental or absolute mode. To utilize the whole capability encoder battery pack must be installed that allows retaining encoder’s position information, so referencing to a zero position every time power is restored to the system is not needed.
