Product Description

IC800SSI420RP2 is a 20 ampere, 460 VAC S2K controller. This controller is manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and includes a Profibus communications module. Made for MTR-Series motors, this unit has resolver feedback.

This controller requires two interface cables, an S2K serial communication cable (for PC interface), a resolver cable, two power cables, two power cables with brakes, an encoder cable, and five connectors. S2K series amplifiers match up with S2K controllers. Possible applications for IC800SSI420RP2 include packaging machines, labeling machines, bag making machines, assembly, pick and place, flying cutoff, rotary tables, feed/cut to length, electronic line shafting, random infeed, sorting conveyors, etc. The controller is contained in a small package, which conserves valuable panel space.

Configure S2K series controllers using the Motion Developer software. This one programming environment allows for a complete machine control solution. To configure the controller, use the application wizards, which provide step-by-step instructions to guide the user through simple motion programming. Use the Motion Solutions templates to aid in development of common applications. The development software includes a Graphical Motion Editor, a CAM Editor, and an On-line Menu. Standard features include an all-digital, self-tuning servo amplifier and a 50,000 microstepping amplifier.

The single-axis controller features a 2-character LED screen for real-time diagnostic updates, nonvolatile program storage in Flash EPROM, a serial communication port, a differential auxiliary encoder input, a quadrature encoder output, a high speed position capture input, a servo primary position feedback, an optional network communication port, a rugged 12-24 VDC user I/O, and quick-disconnect terminals.
