5136-SD-VME
The 5136-SD-VME module is a part of the product lineup from Abaco Systems. This series of devices range in products such as CPU boards, Input and Output boards, as well as others. These modules are most recently products from Abaco Systems, however, they were initially developed, produced, and manufactured by the industrial automation division of General Electric.
This unit is designated as the 5136-SD-VME module. The 5136-SD-VME module is an interface card, able to provide an intelligent front end connection between a VMEbus master card and Allen Bradley programmable controller communication network.
The 5136-SD-VME model is outfitted each with a co-processor card, with a set of circuitry to provide a standard bus interface to the VMEbus backplane. This unit is outfitted with a form factor, with double height and single width measurements. The connection possible for the unit is done with the VMEbus backplane via the PI connector module.
Before installing this card, make sure to ground yourself by touching a grounded object, such as the case of your computer. Never touch the backplane connectors or pins. Handle the card by its mounting bracket. Always store the card in a protective bag.
