About the VMIVME-1129
VMIVME-1129
The VMIC line of devices is a series of boards that range in function, such as analog to digital converters, CPU modules, and Input/Output boards. These units were initially produced by the industrial automation division of General Electric. It eventually fell from their production lines, and was then acquired and produced by Abaco Systems. The units that AX Control Inc. has in stock are used models, and have been fully optimized and refurbished to run in the industrial workplaces of today.
The VMIVME-1129 unit is designed as one of the many Digital Input Boards in the VMIC series. This unit functions to read the voltage of a variety of devices. The signal capabilities of this unit are based in origins from electronic switching circuits and the standard logic circuits and mechanical switch contacts. The VMIVME-1129 unit is also outfitted with relay contacts and a set of Opto 22 type signal conditioning modules. These inputs are able to be configured to receive signals for current sinking and voltage sourcing.
The standard functionalities of the VMIVME-1129 model includes sampling external inputs when the board is being accessed by the host, and place the data being transferred onto the appropriate data lines of the VMEbus attachment. The VMIVME-1129 is able to take a “snapshot” of the external data and guide it to the host, via the VMEbus.
