About the VMIVME-1182
VMIVME-1182
The VMIVME-1182 is a 64 Channel, isolated digital input board, with a multifunctional, intelligent controller. This unit was originally designed and produced by General Electric, their subdivision, GE Fanuc Automation, though, was then produced by Abaco Systems. These units are no longer in production from either company, and are refurbished and repaired inventory from AX Control. We guarantee that each unit is covered by our extensive, comprehensive warranty program.
The VMIVME-1182 model itself comes with several of the standard features for many of these units. Integrated into this model is a series of 64 optically isolated inputs, with multiple functions available within each channel. There are Change of State (COS) and Sequence of Events (SOEs). The other functional settings include pulse accumulation, time tagging, and programmable debounce times. The nominal operating input that the VMIVME-1182 requires is between 5 to 250 volts of direct current, or, alternatively, from 4 to up to 240 volts of alternating current. From channel to channel, there is a required 1500 volts of direct current, or 1100 volts RMS. This is also seen from channel to VME isolation.
The Change of State (COS) capabilities are both able to handle timing and detection. The VMIVME-1182 unit latches several input signals each millisecond. Each of the input channels of this unit are fully independent, and are processed separately. The Change of State timing can be tagged with a timer value of 0 to 65 seconds, and can be initialized or preset with a time tag register.
The VMIVME-1182 module is designed for applications in data acquisition systems, nuclear power plant monitoring, and managing control systems.
