About the VMIVME-2128
VMIVME-2128
This unit is a part of the VMIC series of devices; a group of I/O boards, CPU modules, digital to analog converters, and other devices. These units were initially designed and produced by the industrial automation division of General Electric, but after being pulled from their production line, were then picked up and produced by Abaco Systems.
This unit is designated as the VMIVME-2128 module, a high voltage digital output board, capable of 128 channel of both high voltage and high current sink outputs. This device is outfitted with an array of open collector output drivers, which are capable of supporting output voltages ranging between a minimum of 5 to 48 volts of direct current. The other standard VMIC features include the protective capabilities such as an automatic surge current shutdown protection, as well as thermal shutdown protection, in case of any overvoltage or overheating.
The VMIVME-2128 digital output board is outfitted with a particularly unique feature for the VMIC series of products. This unit is equipped with a built in capability for a self-testing and diagnostic analysis. The Built-in Test (BIT) logic capabilities allow the operators to verify the functions of each channel via control using software.
The VMIVME-2128 module is now no longer in production, just like the rest of the VMIC series of devices. Our inventory of industrial equipment and materials here at AX Control Inc. have been completely refurbished and optimized to run smoothly, and meet the standards of today’s industrial automation.
