About the VMIVME-3111
VMIVME-3111
The VMIVME-3111 module is a device that is a part of the General Electric Fanuc VMIC series, produced originally as a product from their industrial automation division, but then, was a device produced by Abaco Systems until it again was pulled from mass production.
The VMIVME-3111 unit is a standard analog to digital converter (ADC) module. The standard core features that this unit requires to operate is a 12 bit resolution, a series of 32 Channels, with SE/16 differential P2 connector inputs. Embedded into this unit is a set of front panel inputs, 16 channel capabilities, and single-ended. These inputs are compatible with the VMIC series 3 volt to 5 volt signal conditioning assemblies. This feature allows for the VMIVME-3111 model to be able to digitize low level voltage input signals, AC voltage signals, thermocouple signals, RTD and current signals, frequency, strain gauge, LVDT, and high level voltage signals.
The front panel inputs of this unit are completely protected by overvoltage protection capabilities and details.
The VMIVME-3111 unit is outfitted with a pair of analog outputs, functioning on 12 bit processing, and is built on a P2 connector.
Should the power supply run out, or if a blackout should occur while the unit is in use, the VMIVME-3111 is designed with a set of fail safes in place, allowing for it to safely power off when the intake is abruptly cut off.
