About the VMIVME-3116
VMIVME-3116
The VMIC series of devices is a wide range of products that features configurations of analog to digital and digital to analog converters, and central processing units, and a series of both analog and digital input and output modules.
The VMIVME-3116 unit is a part of their line of Analog to Digital Converter boards, with several features among this specification. This unit features a 16 bit resolution, which is jumper selectable at either a 15 or 14 bit resolution. The timing capabilities of this unit range between a 17 microsecond conversion time at 16 bits, and with an optional high speed conversion time at 10 microseconds, and then a 15 microsecond conversion time at 14 bits, and with the high speed optional setting, that conversion time becomes 8.75 microseconds.
The VMIVME-3116 model is equipped with a 26 microsecond settling and acquisition time, which is brought down to 15 microseconds, when the high speed setting is set in place.
The VMIVME-3116 is outfitted with up to 32 channels, each with the 16 bit resolution, and comes with its own unique built-in testing capabilities, as well as the autocalibration. The built-in testing is outfitted with hardware designed with the on board precision voltages which are in place to be read for any fault detection and isolation.
There is a front panel LED light for indication if the unit fails at any point, and automatically illuminated upon activation, or upon system reset.
