About the VMIVME-3128
VMIVME-3128
This unit, the VMIVME-3128 is a series of converter modules from GE FANUC. These units are designed to be able to support up to 64 channels, either single-ended or differential, and wide range, analog inputs. These boards are able to support several operational modes to switch between, such as autoscanning, single-channel random polling, timed burst, locally triggered burst, remotely triggered burst, and gain loading.
There are up to one thousand and twenty-four dual-port Data Registers which are able to provide storage to allow this unit to continuously scan each and every channel. The scanning modes are enabled immediately upon the unit powering up, after a system reset, or can be executed under program control. The dual-port registers within the unit allow for VMEbus access at any time in order to read the latest stored data.
The VMIVME-3128 unit itself comes outfitted with several features, such as the 64 differential and single-ended inputs. This unit is fully capable of 14-bit analog to digital conversion capabilities and operates at a 58-kilohertz conversion rate. The program selectable scanning can achieve at a rate of 16, 32, 48, or 64 channels at a time. The input channels are consistently digitized and stored. These inputs are also able to be protected from overvoltage charges.
Externally, this unit is equipped with a trigger to synchronize multiple boards simultaneously. The VMIVME-3128 unit is designed for factory automation, instrumentation, and process control and monitoring.
