About the VMIVME-7588
VMIVME-7588
This unit is a part of the VMIC series of various devices. This model was initially built by the Fanuc automation division of General Electric. Over time however, the series was then pulled from mass production, and then later acquired by Abaco Systems. The inventory that AX Control Inc. is able to provide to you have been used previously, yet have been completely refurbished, recalibrated, and repaired to the optimal, nominal settings that will grant these units a productive life while in use again.
The VMIVME-7588 model itself is an enhanced Pentium processor based VMEbus CPU, capable of handling both 133 and 166 megahertz of energy. There is an external L2 cache integrated into this model’s processor. This cache is designed with a 512 kilobyte sized synchronous burst of SRAM memory. There is also up to 256 megabytes of DRAM memory, which is compatible, both with and without, parity using 72 pin SIMMs. The 64 bit peripheral component interconnect (PCI) is attached to the Super Video Graphic Array controller, with up to 2 megabytes of video formatted DRAM memory.
The VMIVME-7588 is also integrated into a series of on board, advanced, enhanced IDE hard drive and floppy drive controller modules. There is also an integrated set of two high performance serial ports, which are compatible to interface with the 16550 connectors.
As with all of these modules in the VMIC lineup, there is a PS/2 style keyboard and mouse ports embedded in the front panel.
