About the 269-10C-120
The 269-10C-120 is a motor management relay in the Multilin line manufactured by GE. The 269-10C-120 uses stator RTD temperature readings along with motor phase current readings to model the motor it is protecting. The 269-10C-120 monitors the mechanical load and motor for issues. With an optional GE Multilin meter (MPM) the module can also track power and voltages and perform tasks based on these values.
The 269-10C-120 includes these standard features:
-
microcomputer controlled
-
programmable on-site by keypad
-
48-character alpha-numeric display
-
built-in "Help" functions
-
Self-check built into the relay circuitry
-
emergency restart capability
-
pre-trip alarm warnings
The 269-10C-120 can be used in a variety of settings, including for the protection of pumps, gears, and fans. It can protect compressors from overload. Using the undercurrent feature, the 269-10C-120 can protect pumps from loss of suction and fans from loss of air flow. The 269-10C-120 can also protect equipment and motors from operator abuse, and protect end users from shock hazards due to earth leakage current from moisture.
The front panel of the 269-10C-120 includes a backlit 48 character LCD display for viewing data, 4 LEDs that show when an output relay is in operation, 1 LED that indicates when a self-test alarm has been tripped, and a keypad for choosing actual values, to program setpoints, and to indicate causes of alarms and trips.
It is recommended the user mount the 269-10C-120 using 4 washers and 4 10-32 x 3/8" mounting screws. Although internal components have been shielded, the relay should be installed where it will not be affected by strong magnetic fields from high current conductors.
