About the 269-10C-HI
The 269-10C-HI is a Multilin Motor Management Relay manufactured by GE. The 269-10C-HI is designed to monitor motors and their mechanical load for faults and problems. The 269-10C-HI can also monitor voltages and power as well as perform tasks based on those values when an optional GE Multilin meter (MPM) is paired with the relay.
The 269-10C-HI has the following features:
-
10 Ohm Copper RTD
-
Controlled by microcomputer
-
a built-in LCD interface, backlit. The 269-10C-HI has a 48-character display for viewing causes of alarms and trips, programming setpoints, and the viewing of actual values.
-
Help key. When the user needs more information, the help key can provide it.
-
Four output relay contacts. The 269-10C-HI provides one trip output, an alarm relay, and two auxiliary output relays.
-
Self-test diagnostics. The 269-10C-HI has a continuous self-check going even when associated motors are not running. If an internal malfunction occurs within the relay, a status indicator will light up on the front panel.
The 269-10C-HI should be mounted where the keypad is easily accessible and the display visible. The end user should be aware that while the internal circuitry is shielded, it can be affected by strong magnetic fields and high current conductors. Please mount away from these sources.
The 269-10C-HI can be used to monitor the actual values of average and individual phase currents, unbalance ratios, RTD temperature, ground leakage current, and motor load as a percentage of the full load. It can also be set up to trigger an alarm prior to a mechanical jam, under- or over-voltage, unbalance, or immediate overload/stall warning.
