About the 269PLUS-120N-HI
This standard version GE Multilin relay is a high voltage (HI) model in the company’s 269PLUS Motor Management Relay series. High voltage relay models like the 269PLUS-120N-HI are those with a control power of 90 to 300 VDC, or 80 to 265 VAC. 269PLUS relays also come in low-voltage models. Those have a control voltage range of 20 to 60VDC / 20 to 48 VAC and are labeled by “LO” in the part number.
GE Multilin 269 PLUS part numbers also indicate the RTD input sensor type of each relay. In the case of the 269PLUS-120N-HI, the 120N indicates that this relay has a 100 Ohm nickel RTD. Other RTD inputs are available for both standard and drawout versions, in both HI and LO voltage options. More information on the various configurations can be found in GE Multilin 269 Plus Motor Management Relay Instruction Manual 1601-0013-D3.
269PLUS-120N-HI is suitable for use in a variety of motor protection applications. When incorporated into certain systems, the 269PLUS-120N-HI protects the motor, associated mechanical system, and the operator from an extensive list of potential overloads or faults. This relay can even be used alongside a GE Multilin meter to perform additional protection functions based on voltage and power values.
One key feature of the 269PLUS-120N-HI is the way it was designed to “learn” the parameters of the individual motor. This adaptability allows the 269 PLUS relays to provide the best protection possible in each specific application. Motor parameters the 269PLUS-120N-HI is designed to “learn” include acceleration time, cool down rates, inrush current, and negative sequence current K factor.
