About the 269PLUS-DO-211-100N-120VAC
269PLUS-DO-211-100N-120VAC is a motor protection system from the 269 Plus Motor Management Relay series, produced by GE Multilin. This microprocessor-based protection system is designed to be used in conjunction with 3-phase motors as they are operated near their hardware limits. This protection system can monitor and control the condition of the attached motor in both accelerated and running/steady state conditions. This relay is the drawout version of the protection system. It has Phase and Ground Current Transformers (CTs) of 2:5 and 2:5 respectively. This system also has a 100 ohm nickel resistance thermal detector (RTD). The control voltage for this model is 120 VAC.
This motor protection system is able to provide critical protection from thermal effects while in operation. The system does this by using RTD monitoring. The system is then able to perform thermal modeling based on the associated thermal capacity. The protection system uses exponential cooldown to match the cooling rates of the actual motor. Due to the steep initial cooling of the system, the relay can attain a higher load cycling. The key inputs of the protection system are the speed switch input, the differential relay input, and the spare input. The speed switch input allows for an external speed device to be utilized. The differential relay input gives the operator the ability to close the contacts from an external differential relay. The spare input, which can be configured for either a standard or custom contact input, allows for identification of the circuit breaker condition.
