About the 269PLUS-DO-211-120N-120VAC
269PLUS-DO-211-120N-120VAC is a motor protection system in the 269 Plus Motor Management Relay Series by GE Multilin. The purpose of this system is to act as a layer of protection for 3-phase AC electric motors from damage due to temperature and electrical hazards. The operating voltage for the controller on this protection system is 120 VAC. The system uses resistance thermal detectors (RTD) to determine thermal conditions while current transformers (CTs) are used to determine electrical conditions. The system uses 120 Ohm nickel based RTDs.
The protection system uses the EnerVista Launchpad software package to run its internal needs, including setup and support. The software can communicate to external devices using a variety of methods including serial, ethernet, and modem. Configuration files can also be created externally and transmitted to the protection system. EnerVista also comes available with a toolkit, which includes GE Multilin Drivers as well as Automatic Event and Waveform Retrieval abilities.
The back of the system panel contains a variety of inputs and outputs that are needed to fully utilize the protection capabilities. There are 10 RTD inputs on the back of the panel which are divided into 3 sections. RTD 1-3 and 4-6 inputs are typically used for stator winding protection. RTD 7-10 are typically used for monitoring ambient temperature as well as motor and load bearing temperature. Additionally, the back of the panel contains the control power inputs and the four output relays. There are also the phase and ground CT inputs and a contrast dial for the screen.
