About the 269PLUS-W-100P-HI
General Electric Multilin’s 269PLUS-W-100P-HI is a Motor Protection Relay intended for medium sized motors, providing the motor system with a number of protective features that extend system life and reduce system downtime. Provided elements can monitor, protect, and manage the relay, offering capabilities such as overload protection, ground fault protection, unbalance correction, self-assessment, and fault diagnosis.
The relay’s faceplate provides the user with a display, LED status indicators, a help key, and an integrated keypad. The faceplate is flame retardant and durable, meeting all IP40X standards. The display is a 48-character alphanumeric 2 line display that allows the user to view alarms and trips, actual values, and system setpoints. The LED indicators reflect system processes and can alert users in the vicinity as to what is transpiring within the motor system. The display can also work in tandem with the LED indicators to provide additional information on system events and parameters. The relay is highly configurable with a wide range of modifiable settings, and the LCD is no exception; users can program which parameters passively display on the LCD when not in active use.
The main benefit of the undercurrent feature is that it can detect a decrease in motor current, which may indicate an issue such as loss of suction within pumps, loss of airflow from fans, or a broken conveyor belt. This element takes the guesswork out of motor system management and reduces time spent troubleshooting. Another protective feature, the exponential cooldown feature, allows motors to be load cycled more frequently.
