About the 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-M-1E-D-N
Model as a protection system the 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-M-1E-D-N model is a relay with a drawout case design and is not available with any type of harsh environmental coating according to the last two characters in the order code. Designed by GE Multilin this relay can provide transparency concerning the power system events and conditions through the EnerVista SR3 Setup Program along with the four-line twenty-character display screen. While this model does have LEDs on the front of the system the LEDs are non-programmable.
The 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-M-1E-D-N system has harmonics, phasors, and transients that will process the current waveforms up to four times during every cycle the model performs. The phasors that have occurred will remove all of the harmonics and fault current transients; as the harmonics and transients have been removed it will result in an overcurrent relay that is reliable and secure and will not have any type of overreach.
The protection elements that are also on this relay will be processed four times to determine if the timer has expired or a pickup has occurred. These elements will use voltages or currents related to the RMS based on the conjoining phasor’s magnitude, therefore protection is unaffected by the direct current transients and harmonics.
The 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-M-1E-D-N has a long list of protection functions all of which are listed as ANSI devices. There are specific descriptions associated with each ANSI device, some of which are as follows; ANSI 79 with the description of auto reclose, ANSI 49 with the description of a thermal model. The remaining functions can be found in the GE Multilin 350 Feeder Protection System Instruction Manual.
