About the 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-N-1E-D-N
The 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-N-1E-D-N relay is a microprocessor Feeder Protection Relay System produced by GE Multilin that functions on a high-voltage power supply, as denoted by the fourth character after the 350. There are two main port types associated with this model: a standard USB port and an RS485 port which go along with the standard and Ethernet connection types as noted by the 1E character.
Several tests can be completed by this relay such as the dielectric voltage withstand test, the impulse voltage, the fast transient disturbance test, and conducted RF immunity test. More of the voltage testings can be found in the attached General Electric Multilin Manuals. The dielectric voltage test will have a test level of two point three kilovolts. The correct test level associated with the conducted RF immunity test is a level of three.
There is a specific way in which the 350-E-P5-G5-H-E-S-N-N-1E-D-N relay must be installed. The installation methods are in the second chapter of either one of the GE Multilin 350 Protection Instruction Guides. One key installation function that must be performed correctly are the installation of the transformer and phase sequence polarities. The phase sequences on this relay are user programmable and can be programmed to either ACB or ABC rotation depending on the user's preference. The instrument transformer polarities must be connected correctly according to the typical wiring diagram in chapter two; when all of the connections are correct and identical to the wiring diagram the arrows will show which way the power is flowing for the positive direction of lagging vars and the positive wattage.
