About the 469-P5-HI-A20-T-H
Featuring the optional conformal coating as denoted by the “H” in the product description, this model of General Electric Multilin’s 469 series is intended for total integrated management and protection of large and medium motors. The 469-P5-HI-A20-T-H is a high control power unit, demarcated by the “HI” in the model number. This means that it accepts control power inputs in a range of 90 to 300 VDC, 70 to 265 VAC at 48 to 62 Hz as opposed to the DC 24 to 60 VDC, 20 to 48 VAC at 48 to 62 Hz range of the low power counterpart. Users should ensure they are purchasing a relay appropriate for their control power needs.
The 469-P5-HI-A20-T-H features a variety of protective elements such as torque protection, mechanical jam, undervoltage & overvoltage protection, and current unbalance correction. These protective features are highly configurable, and system trips are activated based on user-specified quantities and time intervals. These features help to prolong motor life and reduce downtime by shielding components in the event of a potentially harmful system event.
This model includes the optional Ethernet 10BaseT, RJ45 connection. The Ethernet port uses ModBus RTU over TCP/IP protocol. When using the Ethernet option, users should ensure the rear RJ45 connector is cleanly disconnected before removing the relay from the case; this removes the risk of damage to the connecting faculties. If the network cable is long enough (over 16”), the unit can be removed from the case without worrying about potential damage.
