Overview

The 735-5-1-HI-485 is a high-voltage relay from Multilin's 735 series. This relay was made to provide primary circuit protection and control to distribution networks of any voltage level. This model has mixed CT secondaries, with the phase secondaries being 5A and the ground secondaries being 1A. Do note this when determining which 735 model is right for your network. The primary protections granted by this unit are ground/phase timed and instantaneous overcurrent.

Primary Features

The 735-5-1-HI-485 uses a 2-wire RS485 configuration with Modbus RTU protocol for communications purposes. The baud rate on this model is up to 19,200bps. This relay can be connected with up to 31 other relays when linked to a master relay. Some of the other protection features on this unit include blocking instantaneous trips after autoreclosure, ground and phase trip separation, and lockout. This unit has a main trip output, auxiliary trip output, and a relay service output.

Miscellaneous Features

The 735-5-1-HI-485 uses the associated EnerVista software in order to set up and configure the unit. This unit has 4 status LED indicators and 8 LED trip indicators. Additionally, this model has a current bar graph on the front panel to display the percentage of the CT rating in 10% increments up to 100%.
