About the 735-5-5-HI-485
Introduction
The 735-5-5-HI-485 is a feeder protection relay from GE Multilin with a high-voltage power supply. This model was designed to work with distribution networks of any voltage level to provide primary circuit protection. This unit is the most common and standard form you will find on the market today. Most networks will use this protection relay due to the 5A CT ground and phase inputs, high voltage power supply, and RS485 2-wire communications on this system.
Main Features
The 735-5-5-HI-485 has a host of useful protection features such as phase/ground timed overcurrent and phase/ground instantaneous overcurrent. This model has features like ground/phase trip separation, lockout, and blocking instantaneous trips on autoreclosure to further protect your network. This model also has several helpful metering features like status LEDs, latched trip LEDs, and a current indicator.
Technical Information
The high-voltage power supply on the 735-5-5-HI-485 is 90-300 VDC or 70-265 VAC at 50/60Hz control power. The communications on this model allow for remote monitoring of things like currents, status, settings, and values at the time a trip occurs. This model has 3 standard outputs: a main trip output, an auxiliary trip output, and a relay service output.
