General

The 735-5-5-LO-485 is a primary circuit protection relay from Multilin's 735 series. This relay was designed to work with distribution networks of any voltage level and combine the functionalities of several overcurrent protection devices into one unit. For example, this unit has phase/ground timed and instantaneous overcurrent protection. This particular model is low-voltage and uses 5A CT secondaries for both ground and phase.

User Interface

The 735-5-5-LO-485 offers strong monitoring and metering features for interfacing with your system. This unit has 4 status LEDs to tell the operator whether the unit is operating normally, testing, requiring service, or if the overcurrent threshold has been exceeded. There are 8 latched trip LEDs on this unit that indicate time and instantaneous overcurrent. This model also has a front panel bar graph current indicator to monitor the load current on the system.

Technical Features

The 735-5-5-LO-485 has RS485 2-wire communications and uses Modbus RTU protocol. In addition to the overcurrent protections, this unit has ground/phase trip separation, lockout relay, and blocking instantaneous trips on autoreclosure. There are 3 outputs on this model; these include the main trip output, auxiliary trip output, and relay service output. This model was designed for operations between the temperatures of -40°C and 70°C.
