About the 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-A-L-R-E
Transformer protection and management is a difficult task, but GE Multilin 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-A-L-R-E’s adaptive features and system monitoring capabilities streamline the process with ease. Intended to work with transformer systems small to large, the 745 is a highly configurable transformer protection relay. Features such as adaptive harmonic restraint help maintain system security during inrush events. Users can also adjust how the relay interacts with the system by adding, removing, or editing setpoints, which are configurable settings that determine how the relay behaves. The 745’s FlexLogic™ technology increases versatility and decreases the need for auxiliary components and wiring, allowing the configuration of unique equations that provide customized outputs in the system.
The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-A-L-R-E’s display screen is enhanced over the base model and is larger as a result. The screen is noticeably wider and the expanded keypad makes inputting and navigating the relay easier. The relay is 18lbs, 6oz when housed in the SR series chassis and approximately 10lbs, 8oz when removed from the case. This model can be mounted on a standard 19” panel and can be accompanied by another relay unit. Once the case is properly mounted, the user can add the 745 to its chassis and begin the wiring process. The back terminal of the 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-A-L-R-E contains a large number of ports to enable numerous and highly configurable connections, including sixteen logic inputs. The rear terminal’s RS485/RS422 ports is intended for systems using multiple relays and can easily connect computers running the relay’s EnerVista 745 computer software program; alternatively, computers running EnerVista can connect through the RS232 port on the front of the device for single relay monitoring.
